The Pedley Research Group strives to understand how metabolic enzymes are organized and regulated in human cells and the extent that disruption of these processes can result in disease. We leverage a combination of biochemical, biophysical, genetic, and microscopy-based approaches to understand the complexity of supramolecular protein assemblies and the subtle nuances that drive selectivity in protein recruitment. We endeavor to use these findings to develop innovative therapeutic strategies targeting metabolic enzymes that alter biomolecular condensate properties and induce their degradation.
